Summer Lunch
The Summer Lunch food service program was created by the federal government so that children in low-income neighborhoods can receive nutritious meals during school vacations when they do not have access to school lunch or breakfast. The Summer Lunch program is the single largest Federal resource available for local sponsors who want to combine a feeding program with a summer activity program. In Santa Cruz County summer lunches are served at sites are operated by Community Bridges and several area school districts.
