Help End Hunger in Santa Cruz & San Benito Counties

Hunger on the Central Coast is everybody's concern. In Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties, high costs of living and decreasing annual household wages force working poor families to stretch dollars even farther to feed their families. According to the 2006 Hunger Study, many local families live with the daily reality of hunger: 1 in 3 households served by Second Harvest now has a monthly income under $500. The number of families whose children skip meals due to lack of food has more than tripled since 2001. 50% of Second Harvest clients are children.

The trend of hunger and poverty in Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties is alarming. But the good news is you can help!
