We Did It!
On behalf of the generations of working poor families, seniors and children who will benefit from Second Harvest’s expansion project, we thank the community for coming together to reach our goal. We raised over $4.3 million for our project that will ensure that no one goes hungry in Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties.
Today we distribute 6.5 million pounds of food a month through our network of 180 agencies and programs. By 2015, the expected need will be 10 million pounds of food. Your generous donations are building a well-nourished community. See a video about our project.
What’s New
- Second Harvest is going green! Solar panels were installed recently to help us save on energy cost while helping our environment. See pictures!
- Passion for Produce is in the middle of installing a produce cooler that will triple our storage which will allow us to distribute 60,000 more lbs of fresh fruits and vegetables. To learn more click here.
